From the early lessons
And first independent steps,
From walking a few steps
And returning to the secure hands,
The initial ventures into the woods in scary solitude…
The walk back to the lights of ‘familiarity’…
And wandering into the woods
When familiarity loses charm and the unknown beckons…
It’s been a long trudge.

The smell of the air magical
The woods are scary and dark.
As you grope in the dark,
You learn to live without light and sunshine
Darkness no longer scares
You learn to walk in the dark,
Breathe the fragrant air,
Hear the waves washing the shore,
Feel the breeze on your skin,
And you walk along…

You slip and fall into the pit
You could stay or climb up
You are blinded
The rocks are slippery
You are wounded
The wind is against you
But you choose to get out of the rut
That eluding fragrance of the distant blossoms
Keep you moving.

The first rays of the morning sun
Now seem so blinding, after says in darkness
Pure and untainted, these rays shower on you
The sky has never been so beautiful
‘ Light’ has donned a new meaning,
After days in darkness.
There is nothing between you, the endless sky and the deep blue waters
Ethereal bliss…
Reality seems so unreal to be true!
As you bask in the private rays of the solitary sun!
